Inspired by William-Adolphe Bouguereau's 1850 oil-on-canvas painting, this pillow portrays a scene from Dante's Divine Comedy where the author and his guide, Virgil, witness two damned souls engaged in eternal combat. The painting, now exhibited in the prestigious Musée d'Orsay in Paris, depicts the alchemist and heretic, Capocchio, being viciously attacked by the cunning trickster, Gianni Schicchi, who used fraud to steal another man's inheritance
